Pembrokshire Wales 17th to 22 August 2026

£1,300.00

Shooting astrophotography in Pembrokeshire with Simon Waldram Photography is a truly special experience, offering the chance to capture the beauty of the night sky against the backdrop of one of Wales’ most stunning landscapes. With its dark sky designation and miles of unspoiled coastline, Pembrokeshire provides ideal conditions for photographing the Milky Way, star trails, and breathtaking nightscapes.

Simon will guide you to some of the area’s most iconic locations, such as Strumble Head Lighthouse, Broad Haven South, and the striking Green Bridge of Wales, where dramatic cliffs, sea stacks, and pristine beaches create perfect foregrounds for your astrophotography. With Simon’s expert advice, you’ll refine your composition, long-exposure techniques, and star-tracking skills to create images that truly stand out.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, designated as a Dark Sky Discovery Site, offers some of the darkest skies in the UK. On clear, moonless nights, you’ll have the opportunity to capture the Milky Way in vivid detail, as well as experiment with star trails and creative nightscapes. Simon will also guide you through blue hour photography, taking advantage of the stunning twilight transitions over Pembrokeshire’s rugged coastline.

This workshop is more than just shooting—it’s about developing your astrophotography skills. Simon will provide hands-on guidance on planning your shots, understanding light and weather conditions, and editing your images to bring out their full potential.
